Allen Iverson announced his retirement from the NBA earlier this year. His very well famous No. 3 that he wore during his career on the back of his jersey’s went up at the Philadelphia 76ers basketball arena.
No other player that plays for the 76ers will ever be able to wear it. With being one of the greatest players to ever step foot on a court, the basketball hero will be stepping his astonishing life into the 2014 Tribeca Film Festival Sunday, April 27th.
The documentary of his life will be titled “IVERSON“. Iverson life story is a remarkable one. Going through hardships while being raised in Hampton, Virginia and struggles in life, Iverson was able to make it to the triumph and went on to become an inspiration to many that has similarity battles that he once had.
The film is said to be capturing the highs and lows of the basketball players life on and off the court. It also captures the well highlighted time that Iverson inspired the entire generation with his love for the hip-hop culture. We hope that the film will eventually hit the big screen nationwide.
