Jay Electronica ft. Jay-Z – “We Made It (Freestyle)”
New industry beef is brewing between two rappers you’d thought would never take shots at each other. Drake and Jay-Z seems to not see eye-to-eye nowadays. Drake allegedly sat down with Rolling Stone Magazine to discuss some things and during that interview, a few words about Jay slipped out about being a corny rapper. He goes on to say that all Jigga raps about is art.
Well, a month later Jay-Z jumped on a track that Drake has brought to light. “We Made It” is originally Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em’s record, but as Drake did with Migos “Versace“, he’s done to “We Made It“. Jay recorded a verse for the track as a feature with Jay Electronica spitting the lead. After Electronica wraps up his lines, one of Jay’s line delivers: “Sorry Mr. Drizzy for so much art talk/ Silly me rappin’ ’bout shit that I really bought/ Why these rappers rap about guns they ain’t shot?/ And a bunch of other silly shit that they ain’t got.” As of now, the track has been removed from the original poster. Does this mean someone called truce? Or is this just the beginning?
