American rapper, songwriter and video director, Kreayshawn has built a fast buzz over the internet within the past two months. She’s known for directing rapper Lil’ B “The Based God” and Soulja Boy music videos. She’s even referred to as the female version of Lil B at times. Her mother Elka Zolot is one of the three members of the Garage-Band “The Trashwomen” and her uncle is allegedly actor Bruce Willis.
Born in San Fransisco and raised in Oakland California, Kreayshawn (who’s real name is Natassia Zolot) dropped out of High School and attended The Berkeley Digital Film Institute with scholarships. She’s apart of a group name “White Girl Mob” that consist her friends V-Nasty and DJ Lil’ Debbie. In May, Kreayshawn released a video and song titled as “Gucci Gucci” which produced Kreayshawn major exposure. The video is inspired by 80s clothing and was directed by Joseph Zentil. “Gucci Gucci” is known for it’s catchy line “One big room full of bad b*tches, Gucci Gucci, Louie Louie, Fendi Fendi, Prada, Basic bitches wear that sh*t, so I don’t even bother.” The catchy phrase is sung by Kreayshawn and a sample from her 2010 song “Bumpin, Bumpin“.
Although she didn’t direct her own music video of her popular video and song “Gucci Gucci“, she received over 2.7 million Youtube video views in three weeks from it’s upload day. On June 8, 2011 Kreayshawn was signed with Columbia Records and is now label mates with artist such as Beyonce, J. Cole and Willow Smith. Since then, the Bay rapper have been co-signed by many music artist and deejays. Her forthcoming debut album is due to be released later this year.
