Lil’ Wayne and Birdman Sued For 1 Million & Loses A Bet For 2 Million
Lil’ Wayne and Birdman has caught their third lawsuit within a week. Last week producers Play-N-Skillz and David Kirkwood sued Lil’ Wayne for unpaid royalties. This time Bridgeport Music landed a lawsuit with the Young Money Cash Money Billionaire owners for copyright infringment for sampling their 1970s song titled ‘Army Gunz’. “You and Your Folks, Me and My Folks…” was the words that was sampled from Funkadelic‘s album Maggot Brain and was reused on Birdman’s album Like Father, Like Son.
The lawsuit may not be a factor to them, considering Birdman just lost a $2 Million dollar bet over the NBA Finals. The rapper was stunned about the lost bet but wasn’t a sore loser. Lil’ Wayne and Birdman celebrated with the winning Mavericks team at club LIV. Mr. Cater hopped on Twitter to tweet about his night, “Partied with the NBA champions and the trophy last night. Mark Cuban is a real n*gga…!!!!”
